Description
THE PENTANGLE THE PENTANGLE
Issue : UK 1st PRESS Label : TRANSATLANTIC Catalogue No : TRA 162
Matrix : TRA 162 A2 / B1
This UK 1st press is on the earliest white and purple Transatlantic label. It is complete with the original inner sleeve and fully laminated sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has a sensational high gloss and is pressed on wonderful heavy 1960's vinyl. There are a couple of faint marks on Side One, but these are pretty insignificant. The vinyl is in superb condition. The purple and white Transatlantic label is exceptionally bright, the colours are completely unworn and the text is immaculate. There is only the very slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The heavy vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and when played it is a pleasure throughout. The sound is rich and vibrant, the kind of quality that only exists on these heavy presses. There is light background noise in places, particularly in quiet moments, but it still has superb audio separation and clarity throughout.
The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has the most sensational mirror like shine. The black is bold, the white has a little discolouration but is still bright and the image is clear. There is some laminate lift by the spine. The spine is firm with clear, sharp text and the whole sleeve is solid.
