Description
Listen to the actual needle drop of this 45rpm for sale...
This is the start of a rare 45 collection that will be sold on Ebay! These 45's are in beautiful condition and many are WLP R&B/Northern Soul/Blues/Rockabilly and Doo Wop from the late 50-60's.
No reserve, I'll let the market determine what this ultra rare 45 is worth!
This is an original 1960 45rpm pressing on the Dot label (45-16056) from The Phantom (a.k.a. Jerry Lott) titled "Love Me" b/w "Whisper Your Love". This comes with the original picture sleeve! See pics its a beauty!
Matrix handwritten side 1 has"45M-14019 (2) " has a small etched triangle "34186" / side 2 has "45M-14020 (2) " has a small etched triangle "34186-X"
Vinyl:
Visual grade: VG++ conservative, closer to NM-both sides look amazing with lightest of sleeve marks, beautiful luster, no scratches. I have never seen an original copy this nice looking.
Play grade:
Side one: VG++/NM Side one sounds beautiful and vibrant (please listen). Note it was cleaned on a VPI 16.5 machine and the player above is the actual rip of both songs. *Note there are no effects or noise reduction to the file above.
Side two: VG+ there is a fluttering sound noted. Overall once the song kicks in it sounds excellent and vibrant. I assume it was pressed this way. Please listen to the file above which contains both songs in order.
Cover: VG+/ VG++ original sleeve, very nice, no splits but has some old tape residue on one side in one small spot (see pic) and little tear spot next to nose (see pic) and on open lid (very slight). Light aging but for it's age it's a keeper. Being very picky, overall you will see this original cover is in very nice condition.
Label: VG+/VG++ labels are excellent with no visual wearing. The grade is conservative from the very light tape residue on side two in a small area (see pic) -it's minimal.
Any questions please feel to ask.
Note I use 45 cardboard shippers for safe transit with cardboard shipping fillers, the 45 will be shipped a new white inner paper sleeve for preservation (not the original sleeve so it won't split).
I have been a seller on Ebay since 1998 and my credit rating and feedback is excellent!!!
Vinyl
Near Mint (NM or M-): Near perfect record and cover. No visible flaws or defects (any manufacturing scuffs should be noted). No unexpected surface noise or other audible issues at normal listening volume.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++): Only a very small number of minor flaws present (ex. a couple of faint hairlines, a light scuff). No unexpected surface noise or other audible issues at normal listening volume. Cover shows no significant ring wear, nor seam splits.
Very Good Plus (VG+): More slight signs of wear but still an excellent condition record that plays well. Any surface noise is very minimal and the record is still an enjoyable listen. No groove wear. Cover may show minor defects including very light ring wear.
Very Good (VG): More obvious wear. Surface noise evident on playing, especially in soft passages, and during a song's intro and fade but never overpowers the music. Ring wear and other defects evident.
Good (G): Worn. Significant surface noise throughout, scratches that produce noise, but will play through without skipping.
Poor (P), or Fair (F): Worn out. Won't play through without skipping or repeating.
