Description
This is an ultra rare copy of "The Phantom Raiders," a 60's garage surf rock band, which was recorded on the ever-so-hard-to-find Justice Recording Co. label (Winston Salem, NC). This is a true "garage" record--with the group members all ranging in age from 11 to 14 years of age. Selections include:
Side One - (1) (Intro) Steppin' Stone; (2) Stickshift; (3) Gloria; (4) Daytripper and (5) Devil With Blue Dress On.
Side Two - (1) New Sound '67; (2) Walk, Don't Run; (3) I'm A Believer; (4) Pipeline; (5) Last Kiss and (6) Wipeout.
This copy is between Vg- and Vg--still looks and sounds good. The cover has no writing or stickers on either side. There is minor yellowing and both the top and bottom have partial splits. The record label is spotless on both sides and contain no stickers or writing. The playing surface still has excellent color and brilliant gloss. There are multiple light marks--none of which can be felt by rubbing your finger across them. It does play with background noise and an occasional pop. The vocals and instrumentals are still clearly audible above any background noise, however. This is a no-reserve auction so let the best bidder win!
