Description
THE PLEASURE FAIR "SAME" (U.S.UNI) 1966 MONO
COVER IS VG INTACT BUT MUCH WEAR...DISC SIDE ONE IS VG+ HAS 1 LONG SCRATCH THAT CAUSES SOME NOISE.SIDE TWO M- NICE
The Pleasure Fair's only studio album is a rather commercial sounding effort with both original compositions and cover songs. There are four covers here and in my opinion those are all quite nice just like the originals too. I find this record to be a very balanced package with no fillers included.
Their sound and style is indeed commercial flower pop psych with male/female vocals but the material is pretty strong and that's what makes this album stand out from the huge pile of similar sounding bands from the late 60's. For example "Turnaway" is a fantastic psych pop track. It's easy to recommend this album for every fan of this kind of music.
