Hello there, and thankyou for viewing my items!
Having had rather a lengthy hiatus, I'm back to sell more of my collection/ 2nd copies/ records I think might be of interest to others. In previous years I've sold very rare PROG, 60s, PUNK etc, ranging from cheap record right up to £1000 records, and have invariably got good feedback. However, having been away from selling for so long I realise I need to build up current positive feedback again, hence I'm listing many items at buy it now prices, please check out my current, and coming here at my other items! Here's a rare DEMO slice of Teen Popcorn from 1959 on the UK H.M.V. label from THE PONI-TAILS. This was the group's final and rarest single, even in it's non-Demo format,so this is a lovely addition to your collection! Generaly in really nice VG+ condition, with just light plays, sadly this has two small areas of feelable scratch/indent, which will sound,but plays fine on my player, though I don't guarantee that a very high audiophile player wouldn't have a chance of jumping, I don't play scratched copies on my topend player, just my mid level player,and as I say,it plays fine on that,surprisingly clear! Another selling point to this copy is that it has the J-J lacquer/stamper codes on either sides (Journalistic Release, changed to JR a coupleof years later), this means these lacquers were specifically madefor the demos, before any numbered/ standard lacquers were created,absolutely the earliest stampers, and usually only show up on Demo copies!
LABELS: VG-, Generally very nice clean DEMO labels, with just a set of small neat initials at 12 o'clock on tha A-side, just above the "H.M.V." text,and a small scratch across the "45-POP 663"
text on the same side at 4 o'clock, other than that really nice, and much cleaner condition than you usually see these plain white early 60s DEMO labels in.
VINYL: G+, I'd call it easily a straight VG+, but for two small areas of indented, feelable scratch (mentioned in more detail above) on the A-side,and apin-head sized feelable indent on the B-side. As mentioned above,itplays fine on my mid-level player, but I wouldn't play it through my top end deck (and more importantly- stylus!) SLEEVE: VG+, A nice example of the early 60s UK H.M.V. "diamonds- style" company sleeve, with one small tear on the front side from the central die-cut edge at about 1 o'clock, other than that freeof any any nicks or tears on any of the central die-cut edges, or the top-opening mouth edges, no wear-throughs, and crisp colours throughout, very little signs of any ring-wear,or handling wear, and absolutely no graffitti etc.
