THE RAINCOATS: The Raincoats.
Hard to find UK 1st press 1979. Very unique in the fact that it was owned by ex Sounds weekly paper writer reviewer (now defunct paper) Johnny Waller. I bought the entire collection from The late writers wife. Contains interesting press release sheets, lyric mini illustrated booklet, card, transcript for interview hand typed on old type writer, Writings relating to a setting that he was planning as follows (something like) Scene 1-A squat in Brixton-Scene 2-BBC studios-Scene 3-Health food restaurant in Clapham, Scene 4-Hampton court. Also include a sheet of note that he was preparing for future delelopment of the paper itself (Sounds), he talks about writers pet bands and things can be improved plus groups without talent wasting pages (other side has press release for the band Another pretty face (Mike Scotts band pre Waterboys.
The vinyl is as new clean as he probably filed them away after he had completed the review. Its original and absolute one off. Only one in the world and its here for auction. I shall be listing more ex Johnny Waller review copy titles this week. See other Raincoats LP.
