RAINY DAZE "THAT ACAPULCO GOLD'' UNI 3002 MONO 1967 RARE

Very cool Pop/Rock/Psychedelic band from Denver Colorado who recorded five singles between 1967-8 and this sole debut album. The title track, originally released on the tiny Chicory label then appearing on the UNI label reachd # 70 on the National Charts during the 'Summer of Love ' year of '67. A second 45 appeared from the album with a non-Discount City" which did not chart. A few more great 45s should also be searched out. The album has a great cover of Steve Stills "For What It's Worth" and their Pop Psych masterpiece "In My Mind Lives a Forest ". Other titles include "Weatherman", "Out of a Calico Dream", " Try a Little Harder" and "Snow and Ice and Burning Rain". Cheif songwriter, Tim Gilbert vocals /bass would put out a solo 45 and later join Hardwater who recorded an album for Capitol. This is a difficult record to locate and its a MONO !...Good Luck !
