Q: So why is a New Zealand pressing so good?
A: Well its a well known fact that here in NZ we used heavier vinyl in our pressing plants in the 50s' 60's 70's & 80's, which is why NZ pressings have a much richer sound than a lot of other pressings. If you search the www. you'll find a lot of discussion on the topic (especailly from Classical and/or Beatles afficiandos) who all will attest that NZ copies of their vinyl are primo. (and if you don't believe me, look for yourself) And of course all our vinyl (rock, pop and classical) were all pressed at the same plants with the same heavy vinyl. So when you get a NZ pressing you can be happy it will be a nice rich one compared to many other bigger countries that skimped on their vinyl.

ARTIST & TITLE: RAMONES - LEAVE HOME
VINYL PRESSING: NZ PRESSING
LABEL: PHILIPS
CAT # 6370 809
VINYL CONDITION: VG+/VG HAS LIGHT SCUFFS, - COULD USE A GOOD WASH. MOST WOULD CALL THIS A STRONG VG+ BUT I AM VERY HARD ON MY GRADINGS, SO I WILL SIT ON THE FENCE. - HAS A LITTLE BIT OF CRACKLE IN THE SILENT SPOTS - BUT ON A RAMONES ALBUM THERE AREN'T MANY OF THOSE. SOUNDS GREAT!!!I.
COVER CONDITION: VG+ VERY NICE ON THE FRONT BUT THE BACK (WHICH IS WHITE - UNLIKE THE US VERSION) HAS A BIT OF DIRT / WEAR ON IT, BUT NO SPLITS.
ADDITIONAL INFO: HAS NO INNER SLEEVE - I DON'T THINK THE NZ PRESSING HAD AN INNER SLEEVE. - BUT IT DOES HAVE THE RARE CARBONA NOT GLUE TRACK ON IT!
PLEASE IGNORE ANY POSSIBLE GLARE IN THE COVER - IT WOULD BE JUST THE CAMERA FLASH.
ALL LPS HAVE VINYL KEPT IN THEIR PROTECTIVE INNER SLEEVE BUT TAKEN OUT OF COVER (TO STOP IT FROM SPLITTING) THEN WRAPPED IN A PLASTIC SLEEVE BEFORE BEING PACKED IN RIGID CARDBOARD FOR TRANSIT.
POSTAGE: $19 WORLDWIDE FOR 1 LP OR $22 FOR TWO LPS AND $5 PER LP" AFTER THAT.

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE BIDDING:
GRADING: All vinyl is graded visually - I just don't have time to play all my discs before putting them up for auction however I will try to be tough on the grading, as I would prefer that a buyer was happily surprised, in stead of unhappily disappointed.
NM = Mint. No such thing really, unless its still sealed. or brand new, unplayed.
EX- = Excellent. Looks almost new. Possibly has one to two minors faults, and some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
VG+ = Very Good Plus. Has light scuffs and scratches but mostly inaudible. possibly can hear a bit of noise in quiet parts. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
VG = Very Good. Has a bit more wear and tear, surface noise a bit more apparent, but still very listenable. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
VG- = More, distracting surface noise. Quite audible but good for singalongs etc ;-) Only used for rarites that you otherwise may not find.
G+ = Good Plus. Not really good, more like a dustbin lid, used really only for rarities and/or label fillers
