EXCELLENT COPY
If the Stooges and the New York Dolls were the parents of punk, then the Ramones were the wild, screaming infant — fresh, new, untamed and purely driven by primal instinct. Though born two years earlier in the middle-class neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, the Ramones truly came of age when they entered the recording studio for the first time in early February 1976. Released two months later on April 23rd, their self-titled debut took three-chord simplicity and mixed it with New York City attitude, breakneck speed and a hell of a lot of amp wattage. The opening salvo of "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Beat on the Brat," and "Judy Is a Punk" offered just a taste of what was to come. In 29 minutes, the Ramones stripped away two decades of musical experimentation and left behind the pure clarity of industrial-strength rock.

THE VINYL IS VG++ TO EXCELLENT MINUS - SHOWS UNDER LIGHTS A FEW MINOR WISPY HAIR LINES ON VERY SHINY US VINYL - NO FELT SCRATCHES!!

NICE SHEEN ON DEEP GROOVE PRESSING

ON PLAYING, THE SOUND IS SUPERB! EXCELLENT DYNAMICS, SUPER BASS AND HIGHS WITH NO OBTRUSIVE SURFACE NOISE - A LITTLE CRACKLING BETWEEN TRACKS AND AT NEEDLE DROP - NOTHING TO HAMPER THE MUSIC IN ANY WAY, THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL RECORD WHICH IS RARE IN ITSELF AS MOST OF THESE RECORDS HAVE BEEN PLAYED TO DEATH!!

THE LABELS ARE VG++, BRIGHT WITH A SMALL INITIAL ON 1 SIDE - NO SEEABLE WEAR TO SPINDLE

THE SLEEVE IS VG+ , NO SPLITS OR LABELS TO BODY OF JACKET- HAS SOME PAPER DAMAGE TO THE SPINE EDGE AND SPINE

HAS LIGHT BUMPING TO EDGES AND CORNERS

PLEASE SEE PHOTOS

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.

Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft.  These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound.  Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

 RECOMMENDED!

FULLY GUARANTEED!

IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded.

Records are graded under bright lights or discrete sunlight - In the case of visibly possible harmful scratches, the record will be tested and sound quality noted. Many vintage (1955-70) records will play fine with visible damage due to superior vinyl and better pressings.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs

Mint

This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!

Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.

Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.

Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks

Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.

Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing

VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.

VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
