THE BEATLES-I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND Details Type 7" SINGLE Sleeve COMPANY Country Of Origin UK Extras/Comments Could this be the rarest Beatles record in the world-who knows-but you wont see many of them about-Its a PYE Contract solid centre.I suppose the initial reaction has to be,its an EMI 2nd press from 1968,well it isnt one of those,chiefly because these are 1963 label configurations with "PARLOPHONE" rim text "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" and NO "Sold in UK" centre text,plus the fact that this is most definately PYE vinyl,a slab of a record that appears to be roughly hewn from a vinyl mine,and a characteristic PYE solid centre centre that they were using circa 1963,and here is the good bit,it is widely acknowledged that the contract pressings didnt have a stamper code at the 3 O'clock position,well this one HAS and it is a C,so you are going to have to rewrite the book then!!.So what is it then,a sample? a mispressing? dunno.With regard to the condition of the record itself,its not in the greatest of states and has a lot of light surface marks,so would grade it conservatively as a VG for looking at,the A side plays fine with a good reproduction,but a bit crackly on the slower This Boy,oh,and by the way whilst we have your attention,we've got loads of great and rare 50's and 60's singles promo's etc on this week,so why not have a look,you may see something you need.

MINT The Record itself is in Brand new condition OR with no surface marks or deterioration in sound Quality.The cover and inserts are in perfect condition EXCELLENT (EX) The Record shows signs of having been played,but there is very little lessening of sound quality.The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times ,but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,without major defects is acceptable. GOOD,FAIR,POOR,BAD Descriptions getting progressively worse until all you end up with is an ashtray ..The only records we will ever sell in these categories are for collection filling,and will be adequately described. Problem Solving Incorrect Grading The best way to buy a record is to pick it up study the surface of the vinyl and then make a decision,but as we all know this is not possible across the internet , and we all have to rely upon the judgment of others, and on occasions opinions differ,as responsible people we accept this,and always view such opinions with sympathy.Our policy is a simple one , we offer an unconditional refund including Post and Packaging costs for any items that do meet our grading in your opinion,we may sometimes ask for the item to be returned for evaluation,but in the main it is uneconomic for us to do this.and you get to keep the record for free.
