a very collectible Texas fuzzrock crew who issued two outstanding psychedelic garage albums on the International Artists label, here is their second album in megarare Red Vinyl.........
With its weird time signatures, loopy bass and drums, Mayo Thompson is a kind of Syd Barrett by way of Texas; this totally modern sounding album is simply a low-fi psychedelic classic. Their previous album is a loud, freaked out classic. This album influenced many that followed suit some 20 years later...
Recorded in 1968, you can directly hear the impact the Red Krayola has had on numerous underground bands of the future.
"The Jewels of Madonna" is probably the coolest song ever, especially of the 1960s. This brief slice of brilliance. "Victory Garden" is better than anything the Velvet Underground ever made, and it is the only love song written to Adolf Hitler in the voice of his wife. Occasionally some Beefheart even seeps into the mix. "Dairymaid's Lament" resembles a rawer, more stripped down post-punk era Beefheart. "Free Piece" is a great free jazz guitar-bass-drums workout. "Leejol" is really raw and punky. "Ravi Shankar: Parachutist" is very strange psychedelia, and recalls some of the actual song parts on "The Parable of Arable Land," without the layers of free form freeking out. This is much quieter than "Parable", but also much better, more consistent and no less quirky. For indepth music fans, this album will blow your mind.

wenn das vinyl mal abtaster hat oder mal klickt ist bei der einstufung normal, es kann auch immer vorkommen, das sich mehr oder weniger Staub auf der Platte befindet auch das ist vollkommen Normal, auch eine Welle kann nicht immer direkt erkannt werden.......wer da gleich hysterisch wird, bitte hier nicht mitbieten, danke
