Description
This is the very rare Rolling Stones vinyl LP titled "Aftermath", the UK version, on the German Decca label, catalog number SLK 16415-P, first pressing in stereo from 1966.
This copy was pressed in Germany by Decca on extra thick vinyl. I purchased the record new in Germany in 1966 while on duty with the US Army. I played it many times on high end turntables and it has visible minor scuffs and marks on the surface but no serious scratches and the label is very good. This record does make typical sounds heard on older vinyl records such as light clicks and occasional pops but there are no skips and it is a high quality pressing that still sounds great at high volume.
This record has a nice looking outer jacket front and back except for some damage on the left side rear which you can see in the pictures. There are no seam splits. The jacket remains very suitable for framing. This is a very nice collectable record.
The inner sleeve is the original printed paper with plastic lining and has a tear at the bottom center of the back of it and one section of the paper has come unglued from the plastic liner (can be reglued) but the sleeve is complete. The original Teldec outer shrink is included though it is well worn.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
