This is a beautiful copy of the Stones' Aftermath on maroon boxed-logo London mono LP LL-3476. This copy is simply beautiful. The disc has a strange sheen, which I have seen on many records but don't know quite how to describe. The vinyl appears to have a somewhat milky film covering it, but it isn't that. It's just a coloration on the vinyl itself, nothing that has gotten onto the record or into the grooves, and not damage at all. Like I say, I have seen many records with this same appearance, but they are never affected by it. I think it is just the way some of that impure American vinyl ages. Anyhow this record has that appearance but it is actually in almost perfect mint condition. Almost, as there are a couple of very light scuffs, but it plays near perfectly and beautifully. Maybe the tiniest, faintest, distant hint of very slight and quiet hiss between some songs, but hardly. This copy plays amazingly. The mono mix is so punchy and powerful it is just a pleasure to hear. The cover, as well, is almost absolutely pristine. There is a slightly fraying upper left corner, a name stamped inconspicuously on the back at the upper left, and a tiny metal eyelet stamped onto the lower left corner -- a cutout hole, but a fancy one, indicating a promo. Other than that this cover is so gorgeous it is almost unheard of. The early pressings almost always have pronounced ringwear, but this one barely has any. A little, but really mild. Aside from these issues this is an incredible cover, with no seam splits, or even any edgewear at all except the one fraying corner, all the corners are crisp and clean, and so are all the edges. And the original inner is included. This is an incredible original copy.
