Description
THE ROLLING STONES - BEGGARS BANQUET LP 1968 UK 1ST ISSUE STEREO UNBOXED DECCA BLUE AND SILVER LABELS (1K/1K STAMPERS)
Very nice copy of this Rolling Stones classic album Beggars Banquet, from my own collection.
The Cover: The gatefold cover has been conservatively graded as VG+ or better. The front and back laminated sleeve is solid with a few edge wrinkles and signs of handling, it has retained its colour very well and has not drastically yellowed around the edges. The spine is clear and readable with some creasing and the lamination is very good. The 'Patents Pending' text on the reverse indicate it is a early/first edition cover. The inside is bright and clean with just a small torn piece from bottom inside right edge, barely noticeable but should be mentioned. Over all the cover is solid, very tidy with no bad creasing or unwanted writing or damage.
The Vinyl: The record is graded Excellent and retains a glossy surface with only a few light hairlines. The spindle area indicates this album has only ever been played a few times and the playback confirms this with a great clear sound and very little to fault. The run outs are stamped 1K on both sides which indicates it is a 1st issue pressing. The labels are dark blue and silver and are in excellent condition. A very nice example.
The Inner Sleeve: Original R.S. poly-lined and printed inner sleeve is solid and has no split seams.
It is getting harder to find early Stones LP's in great condition, this is not mint but a nice solid copy and priced to sell.
