Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960’s by The Rolling Stones called "Beggars Banquet".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1968 on the Decca label (LK 4955) (mono). It has a total of 10 tracks (see photos for track listings).
Visually the vinyl is in a clean condition, but has obviously been played many times. I always examine and grade records under a strong light and it is clear there are many surface and scuff marks on the vinyl, though nothing too serious. I have played the record right the way through and it plays without sticking or jumping.
There is however surface noise evident on the quiet sections between tracks throughout both sides and it is a real shame that such a great album is reduced, in the most critical terms, to being only in Fair condition.
There are spindle marks evident on both labels, but the labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The matrix numbers are: - XARL 8476-4A (side one) and XARL 8477-3A (side two).
The record is housed in an original poly-lined inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition, with just some creasing at the corners (see photos).
The laminated gatefold picture cover is in a GOOD condition. The edges, spine and corners suffer from some shelf wear in places. The text on the spine is still partly readable. On the front in the top corner is a mark where a sticker has been removed. Inside the gatefold both sides are clean and undamaged.
Overall, a rare chance to buy this highly collectable 44 year old record, which would be great for filling a gap in your Rolling Stones collection.
