The Rolling Stones began here!
As a fledgling group starting out, they were not writing or composing, but we're just
enthusiastic youths playing frenetic and energetically in paying tribute to their Rock and Roll idols - and filling the small halls everywhere they played. Indeed this is a faithful Chuck Berry cover backed by one of Muddy Waters - Kings of RnB and blues respectively.
The group had gained a fanbase in London, first managed by Giorgio Gomelski, who went on to manage the brilliant, and similarly enthused Yardbirds - who even took over The Stones' club residency and gig circuit.
They moved on from their blues covers earlier period and their fame only grew.
This is in great shape, and as a 1963 landmark first single, it's a BEAUTIFUL copy!
This is the VERY FIRST pressing, and on the original open DECCA lable.

The VINYL grades top NM, playing wonderfully!
