This is an original 1971 pressing of The Rolling Stones “Hot Rocks 1964-1971” double LP, complete with the original insert. This classic greatest-hits set covers the band’s first decade, with 21 tracks drawn from their most influential Decca/London era recordings.
Originally released in late 1971, “Hot Rocks 1964-1971” became the Stones’ biggest-selling album, staying on the charts for years and eventually selling over 12 million copies. It focuses on their major hits while also including essential album cuts that show the band’s evolution from early R&B covers to defining their own sound.
Includes many of the band’s signature songs:

This copy includes the original insert “211 reasons why The Rolling Stones is the world’s greatest rock and roll band” (please see photos), which is often missing from later or heavily played copies. The insert is a nice bonus for collectors and completes the 1971 package.
All used records are play tested and graded using Goldmine standardized grading criteria.
This one sounds great! There is only very light surface noise in quiet passages.
I make every effort to be accurate in my grading, but I am human and may occasionally miss something. I would much rather have a reputation as an “undergrader” than as an “overgrader!”
I RARELY give a grade over VG+. To me a VG+ used record is about as good as it gets, one that has only the slightest amount of surface noise (if any) in quiet passages, and no obvious pops or recurrent noise. It is a record that I would be very happy to receive from a seller if I bought it myself.
All records will be carefully packaged in boxes that are designed for shipping records.
All records will be placed in a protective vinyl outer sleeve, and an anti-static inner sleeve if the original inner sleeve is missing or damaged. The record and inner sleeve will be placed within the protective outer sleeve, but not within the cardboard jacket, to avoid any damage to the jacket spine during shipping.
