Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my 60’s beat and psych and some 70’s progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first U.K. MONO pressing of The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed on the RED UNBOXED Decca label, cat. no. LK 5025.
The record is in VG minus to VG condition, there are non-sounding hairlines and a couple small sounding marks and scratches here and there. The labels are in VG condition, there only some spindle marks and there is some wear along the spindle hole on both sides.
The cover is in VG condition, besides the normal handling and storage wear, there are some small stains on the back and the spine has a bald spot. Besides all mentioned defects, this cover is a very decent condition; no writing, no rips or tears or other unwanted damage.
Unfortunately the original mono inner sleeve is missing, this record comes with a plain white inner sleeve.
This is a very rare FIRST U.K. MONO copy of the Rolling Stones’ Let it Bleed Banquet album. Although the record and cover are quite used, later 1960’s mono copies are very hard to find. As mono was a dying format, Decca decided to make mono copies on a “special order” basis only. As this record came out late 1969, this mono mix was used just only for a couple months only, and then never to be repressed again. This is a real opportunity for all Rolling Stones collectors to own a very first MONO pressing of this legendary album. Happy Bidding!
