Mono vinyl on a thick early UK Decca pressing remains the best way to hear THE ROLLING STONES
A Very Good+ condition disc. A few light scratches on Side 1 (see photo), apart from which this LP would have been graded Ex-. Otherwise only a few fine hairline marks, which can mostly only be seen under a strong light. These are mainly due to the record being taken out of its sleeve over the years, and cause no audible issues whatsoever. Quite a lot of visible spindle marks. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, or writing on labels. Clean labels. Excellent sound quality throughout, with very little surface noise - punchy clean MONO. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve in Very Good- condition. Laminated front. No flip-backs. "Printed in England by James Upton Ltd". Some general wear and age-related discolouration in places. Some writing to top left on the rear of the sleeve. Some creasing, wear, and a couple of very small tears to the opening edge (see photo). No seam splits anywhere. Slight mark from sticker removal to top rear. Spine in very good condition, with all text clearly legible.
Supplied in original company polythene-lined inner-sleeve. This is in Excellent condition, with no creasing, no writing anywhere, and no tears or seam splits. Some age-related discolouration in places.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
