****THE PROM QUEEN****

THE ROLLING STONES - NOT FADE AWAY - GUARANTEED, 100% AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, PICTURE SLEEVE!

PRESSED IN THE U.S.A.

 RECORD LABEL :  LONDON RECORDS

CATALOGUE NUMBER : 9657

YEAR OF RELEASE : 1964

This sleeve never turns up. Do not miss your chance to own this Beauty! There are no creases, ring wear, folds, seam-splits or any other noticeable similar defect. No cut-out holes. The only thing keeping this sleeve from being a Near Mint is the two tiny staple holes that appear on the top left side of the sleeve. They had been safely removed without tearing the sleeve. On the rank of rarest Stones sleeves, I believe this to be third. I will never see a real "Street Fighting Man" in my lifetime and I have made peace with that. Second, would be "Beast Of Burden". Number three moving up the charts like a bullet has to be this sleeve. "Not Fade Away" is extremely hard to find. Not only will you probably never physically see one, I can almost guarantee with certainty that you will not see one this nice. Study the pictures. This is one of those items that should be for sale in a top auction house. Fortunately for this buyer, I don't run those circles.  I have been collecting for over 20 years and this is only the second one I have ever seen. I bought the first. It is the first Picture Sleeve by the band for U.S. release. *** REVISED*** The record is now your choice of either of the 1964 Not Fade Away original Singles that are pictured. The One with the writing is in Fantastic condition. The Vinyl would grade NM but there is that bit of writing in pen. The other is free of writing but is in VG+ condition. It will be buyers choice as to which one you would like to go along with this beautiful sleeve.

CONDITION

RECORD = Buyers Choice. Please read the revised section and see the new pictures.

PICTURE SLEEVE / COVER =  EX - NM - 1964 - All Solid! Two tiny staple holes. The Staple had been pulled neatly long ago in a way not to tear or rip the sleeve. Color is great!!!

INNER SLEEVE = N/A

LABELS = NM clean

GRADING SYSTEM

Mint = Only reserved for Sealed records or store stock new 45s. 10/10 Top Copies

Near Mint =  The record may have been played once or twice on good equipment. Near Mint vinyl should sound and look New when properly cleaned. A Near Mint cover should be one that either looks new or still has the shrink wrap on it. Near Mint is usually reserved for record collectors that don't mind spending premium in order to get the best quality copy of a recording. 9 out of 10

Excellent = 8 out of 10 A record should have maybe one blemish such as fingernail or scuff on the surface that does not affect play. It should be veiwed as Near Mint to most collectors, but for the super picky collector such as myself that check them with a 100 watt light bulb before it ever gets played, it is veiwed as an 8 out of 10.

Very Good ++ = 7 Out of 10. A VG++ record may have a few blemishes on each side and will still play with High Fidelity. No background noise should be present.

Very Good + = VG+ is a grade that I use for most lps that have been played responsibly. It may have scratches (should not be feelable with finger) that shouldn't affect play or some sleeve scuffs from being pulled and played. A VG+ record should still sound great. There should not be overwhelming background noise (when properly cleaned). Pops and Skips from deep scratches are unacceptable.  You should be able to enjoy a VG+ record and not have to worry about damaging it because its not in top collectable shape anyway. These are for collectors who love to play their records. 6 out of 10

Very Good =  VG  My VG records do not equal trash. They are play tested and have some background noise present. A vg record has been played numerous times. In most cases such as party records the LPs were stacked on top of each other instead of being returned to the inner sleeve. May have a pop or two but will not skip. Sometimes records will look great and play with background noise. The one album that comes to mind is The Stones - Sticky Fingers. I've had (visually) NM copies that played like trash and VG copies that played superb. 45s are a different story. These will usually play well even though there are numerous scratches. Don't be afraid of surface scratches, your stylus takes a worse beating every time it crosses those matrix numbers in the trail off. 5 out of 10

Return Policy:

It is impossible for me to play every record I own. That is why I have the "No Questions Asked" Return Policy. If you don't agree with my grading upon playing the record, simply return the same record for a full refund. There is no need to leave a negative. All this does is upset both parties. I may have something you want later on down the road. I have been on here since '98 and never found a situation that couldn't be resolved through polite email. As with all business transactions we must adhere to the rules set forth between buyer and seller.
