Description

A first pressing of The Rolling Stones No 2 mono album LK4661 on the red unboxed Decca label with matrix numbers Side one XARL 6619-2A and Side Two XARL 6620-2A.

The disc itself has a high gloss. It has half a dozen (in total) light surface marks. (Please see the photographs for a better idea of record quality)

All tracks are playable with no skips.There are a few audible pops on both sides and there is slight track noise at the beginning of track 5 on side 2 but this does not detract from overall listening quality.

The original poly lined inner sleeve is in very good condition.

The laminated James Upton Ltd cover is in very good condition and contains the wording "see that blind man knock him on the head" by Andrew Loog Oldham on the back which was later censored .The spine is also in very good condition.

My name and old address are written at top left of back sleeve in biro.(See photo)

This record is from my own private collection. It has been kept upright in a custom built cupboard away from light and damp and in virtually dust free conditions since I bought it new back in 1965.It was probably played about forty to fifty times around that period and has been unplayed since - apart from the check I carried out recently prior to listing it on Ebay.

The sound is still exceptionally good for a 40 year old plus LP.
