THE ROLLING STONES No.2 UK 1ST PRESS 'Blind Man' Flipback Cover + 2nd Ver. Cover

Here's a great UK 1st mono pressing of the Rolling Stones' No. 2 on Decca Record with the rare withdrawn cover, AND a copy of the earliest pasteover replacement cover. When 'No.2' was first released, the liner notes by manager Andrew Loog Oldham included the line 'This is the Stones new disc  within.  Cast deep in your pockets for loot to buy this disc of groovies and fancy words.  If you don't have the bread, see that blind man knock him on the head, steal his walledt and behold you have the loot, if you put in the boot good, another one sold!'
This was almost instantly objected to by Decca, and withdrawn.  The first copies were modified by the addition of a modified back cover slick without the offending line, which was pasted over the over the original.
We have here a Near Mint barely played original mono disc, with the original VG++ cover with the offending lines (and a scarce 'flipback' version at that), along with an extra VG++ replacement cover--the earliest version with the pasted over extra slick (the next copies had the new text printed directly on the back covers, negating the need for the paste over slick found here).  So one beautiful disc, with the two earliest cover variations--the original version and the paste-over replacement.  (the paste-over cover has some yellowish sticker residue in the lower right back cover, visible in the photo here).

We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We regularly receive praise for our grading, but as all grading is subjective, we are happy to give a full refund for anything you aren't happy with no questions asked.
