MEGARARE original London Records very first MONO press released in Chile in 1966 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc. USA, with red/silver ”full frequency range recording” (ffrr) London labels, catalog number LLC-38456, matrix numbers ARL 6791 2N (“2N” inverted) in Side 1 and ARL 6792 1N (“1N” inverted) in Side 2. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!!

“OUT OF OUR HEADS” was originally released in 1965, but we had to wait until 1966 to see this album released here, but like in most of the cases of that period, we got it with an UNIQUE cover, made of two single sheets of paper kept together for an outer plastic bag which’s part of the cover. Front cover keeps the original US artwork with title in English at lower left corner but with a white rectangle at top with a different title in Spanish, “The Rolling Stones’ Selecciones de sus más grandes Exitos” – "The Rolling Stones’ Selections of their more big Hits"). Back cover is different, it keeps the title in Spanish with the left half for tracklist and credits and right half for a review in Spanish about this album. At bottom in back cover is the logo of “ Serie Estelar” (Stellar Serie), also included in labels under the catalog number. The tracklist is the same released in USA and it’s written in English in both cover and labels, but in back cover is translated to Spanish. It’s interesting to see that in labels it only says “The Rolling Stones”, with no title informed.

Yes, yes, yes… Another very famous album released in Chile with an UNIQUE cover!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG- condition, clean, no ring marks, no blemishes, no writings, but wear in the mouth, in front cover it has a sticker from the original record shop and right corner at the top is bent and back cover has a light sign of humidity in the right edge. Plastic bag is still there, complete, but it’s opened in the back cover side, so you will can see how these plastic bags were made and how fragile the single sheets for front and back cover are. The record is thick and it’s in strong VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, but with many scuffs and hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect sound. Labels are in NM- or NM condition, absolutely clear and clean, but in Side 2 some past owner wrote his name. The sound is in strong VG+ or EX- condition the Side 1, loud and clear, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some soft crackles here and there, and in VG- condition the Side 2, even though most of the songs play in EX- condition, loud and clear and only light crackles here and there, which of course don’t distract from the great sound of this album, but with a pair of little skips in the song “Satisfaction”. Maybe it’s only dust in the grooves or maybe the tonearm of my turntable doesn’t have the right weight, I don’t know, but the record doesn’t present any repetition or distorsion. I would recommend a professional vacuum cleaning and some adjustment of the tonearm weight. Overall a great record with still a very good look and a very respectable sound quality after almost 45 years!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
