Description

Here's an excellent first pressing in the rare and violent MONO MIX of Their Satanic Majestie's Request by The Stones.It's the initial run denoted by the inner ridge on the Blue Light Decca UK label.I've played this record with the treble full using a Shure Shibata type stylus and it's still sonically tripped out after all these years.The sleeve's 3D plastic picture is still flat to the card showing no signs of the usual peeling away from the sleeve.The spine is stone straight with no calrifol splits.Same goes to the rest of the outer cover.The single leaf front gatefold hasn't even been corner damaged making it a very strict EX++.The original red and white 'smoke'patterned inner sleeve hasn't succumbed to splitting - rare to find such fine paper surviving over 30+ years of dope. The light blue Decca labels have some spindle markings if scrutinised but otherwise EX.There is some 'visual to the light' dust surface scratches after such a time but doesn't make an audible appearance on playing apart from the very quiet passages - but no nasty worn stylus damage or break up of groove sound at all.Has the odd click from general playing.There is a click between the last few seconds of Track ! Side one going into The Citadel which disappears two seconds in to it,but isn't in any way spoiling the music.A UK complete first issue of this record in EX in MONO reaches unhippy prices now days,so get seriously bidding as the reserve is LSD. Relisted due to tripping bidder.....
