Description

The Rolling Stones 'Sticky Fingers' 1971 UK original vinyl album on the Rolling Stones label, catalogue number COC 59100 (stereo)

The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: COC 59100 A4   1 5 A (all stamped)   T.M.L ROLLING STONES RECORDS (hand written) Side Two: COC 59100 B3   2 0 A (all stamped)   T.M.L ROLLING STONES RECORDS (hand written)

This is a medium weight vinyl which is very slightly warped at the edge but it plays perfectly well without any adjustment. Side One has light scattered surface lines all over but only one that I can feel slightly at the end of track 2 in to the beginning of track 3. Side 2 looks very similar but I can't feel any of the scratches at all. The record plays great both sides with just a little crackle during the quieter sections and some occasional light ticks - no skips, no sticks, no jumps.

The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have quite a lot of spindle lines, but no writing, no damage.

The cover is the well known Andy Warhol design with the zip on the front, everything is intact and I would say this is a really excellent cover with just a few small creases on one of the corners and there are some indents on the back in the middle which can be clearly seen when angled under a light (viewed head on they are barely visible).

The spine is excellent, fully readable and almost as new.

There is also an insert with The Rolling Stones logo on one side, track title and credits, and on the other side a group photo. Apart from a tiny brown mark on the right hand edge this is not very much different than it would have been when new.

The inner sleeve is plain cream paper, not lined, with a patent number and 'Made in England' printed on it. Apart from a very short tear at the opening edge and a few small brown stains it's undamaged, no seam splits. I think it's original, but can't be sure.

I checked the Record Collector grading system and would say that the record is at least 'very good', the cover is 'excellent' and the insert is 'excellent'.

I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.

It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
