Description
THE ROLLING STONES Same/Debut LP UK DECCA GROOVED DG MONO 1A/3A 1st
The Rolling Stones, Same.
Original 1964 UK pressed Decca Records mono LP, LK 4605.
Earliest Decca grooved pressing with 1A/3A matrix suffixes.
A far from perfect issue, but in solid listenable condition.
Vinyl around a visual G. Surfaces are still glossy and not greyed but display a large number of scuffs and mostly fairly light scratches, some of which are more immediately visible. There is a fair amount of spindle marking, but the labels are not worn or whitened at centre.
Plays a strong VG. Occasional low level crackle at quieter spots but no loud ticks and much actually plays VG plus to EX.
Labels are clean and undefaced.
Inner sleeve EX.
External sleeve grade Fair only. The grading is held back by a large strip of tape at top of both front and rear panels (see photos) plus a small piece of loss to top front entry side. Otherwise nearer G. Some quite heavy laminate air pocketing and creasing to bottom right corner. Some pinch line creases leading in from edges. Rear panel grubby and with some penned initials top left. Entry side becoming worn and brittled. No seam splits or heavy edge wear.
