Thanks for looking - I’m selling this classic Rolling Stones album. It’s just one I don’t listen to anymore. It’s a great early press, it includes all the original inserts. It’s superb, really is.
Conservatively graded as VG+ down to writing on the sleeve, a few scratches on the record. The whole sleeve and record is graded as VG+ bordering on EX, and is a really nice copy. The zipper works. There’s no rips or tears. This really is one of the tidiest copies of this album you’ll ever see on eBay.
First UK edition does not have the inscription “A Promotone N.V. RECORD” on labels. Promotone company was founded only a few months later in September 1971 (Amsterdam, Netherlands), while the album "Sticky Fingers" was released in April 1971.
The zipper on front cover is completely blank with 2 indented lines. This kind of zip is made of far higher quality of metal of the usual ones, and is easy to spot & date - when compared to similar clothing zips made in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It is a very early made one.
A3/B3 matrix is the lower known matrix for this release.
Sleeve opened at both top and bottom. After jeans with a real metal zipper on front that unzips to reveal a man in cotton briefs. The set contains also an insert with a pic of the Band on one side and credits & lyrics on the other side. Insert says "Printed in England by Richard Davis Ltd."
This is an A4/B3 press. There’s the name JAYNE on the record. I don’t know who she is. Never met her but she’s looked after the album.
This has been in my collection since I began collecting records and was deemed “essential” and as such I bought it. What started as a great essential is no longer needed in my collection and as such I’ve decided to move it on.
