Description
This is an auction for the Rolling Stones LP, Their Satanic Majesties Request.
Released on Decca records in 1967 and has catalogue number TXS103. This is the stereophonic 1st press, please check the pictures for confirmation. Matrix..ZAL8126 T2 7K...ZAL8127 T2 4K.
Condition: The gatefold sleeve comes in fine condition, other than the discreet pen marks seen on the inside maze it looks close to new. Light corner buffing, the spine is perfect, the 3D stuck on picture is unscratched. This is laminated front and back hence shows very little in the way of discolour marks, being fussy I would say that the remains of a sticker can just be seen on the top right front corner, price sticker me thinks? Anyway I have to down-grade for the pen to VG+++, with-out the pen, which is discreet, EX+, a fine looking sleeve.
This comes with its original red inner sleeve which has a large corner missing and has tape to the edges, tatty is the best description for it.
The labels come in superb condition, clean with only a few tiny spindle trails seen when tilted to the light, the centre-hole shows just signs of seeing a deck, near new labels.
The vinyl retains its new shine and looks clean. I was thinking this record would grade very highly due to its appearance, unfortunately there is one scratch which is visible, and this scratch is audible, track three of side two plays with a heavy tick on each rotation. It is a shame because the rest of this record is in fine condition, yes there are a few other feather scratches and a couple of finger marks but these are non-audible. playing with very strong audio and very little lessening in sound quality except where mentioned. So graded at VG, with most of this record playing much, much better than graded.
Certainly better than a gap filler, fine sleeve, hardly played, fine labels and fine appearing and sounding vinyl except for the one track.
