A rare copy of The Rolling Stones’ hard-hitting 1983 album, Undercover. This original US pressing on Rolling Stones Records is Factory Sealed and has never been opened, handled, or played. A flawless, untouched vintage time capsule for serious classic rock purists and Stones completionists!
Released on November 7, 1983, and produced by The Glimmer Twins (Mick Jagger and Keith Richards) alongside legendary producer Chris Kimsey, Undercover stands as one of the most sonically aggressive and fascinating albums in the band's massive discography. Following the smooth, jazz-inflected success of Tattoo You (1981), Undercover saw the band diving headfirst into the hard, digitized aesthetic of early-1980s new wave, dance-rock, and post-punk production.
The record is an absolute powerhouse of rhythms. It is anchored by the hit single "Undercover of the Night"—a fierce, politically charged track addressing Central American conflicts, driven by Sly Dunbar's thunderous, syncopated percussion layers. The album also features the high-octane chuck-berry-style rocker "She Was Hot" and the sprawling, horn-infused groove of "Pretty Beat Up" (co-written by Ron Wood). Backed by elite guests like Chuck Leavell on keyboards and David Sanborn on saxophone, this record captures the Stones adapting their raw blues roots into a clinical, hyper-modern stadium soundscape.
The packaging is also visually iconic. Designed by Peter Corriston, the front cover features a minimalist portrait of a nude female form accented by real, multi-colored geometric peel-and-reveal stickers on standard open retail copies.
