Description
THE ROLLING STONES
"We Never Really Got It On Till Detroit"
Contra Band Music (CBM) (No #)
1970
This is THE Stones underground LP from the first golden age of boots. Contra Band Music (aka: CBM) was one of the first boots along with TMOQ and Rubber Dubber. This LP would be repressed by other underground companies and labels but this LP was the first press and the first release. I know. I was going up to Dallas (actually Ok Cliff) to a great shop called JayLee's and buying boots every couple of weeks (they were the best prices in Texas at the time). I bought this one the first time I went there. This LP was the REASON Decca / London decided to release "Get Yer Yas Yas Out"legally. This LP was one of the boots you HAD to have if you were into collecting. Not only is this a collectors item from the music side but it really is a cultural collectors item. This WAS 1970 in the USA. War raging. Protests in the streets. Nixon out of his gourd. This concert was what rock and protest was all about. You can see the song list up above in the photos.
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 46 years. Worth it. I swear.
