Description

Beat Zenith.com Rolling Stones LP Label History says the London FFRR label is a first pressing of the Stones' first four lps if (as this one does) at the top of the label is printed "MADE IN ENGLAND BY THE DECCA RECORD CO.LTD".  Also showing a first pressing is the "Blind Man" text on the back cover liner notes (top right column).  Later pressings omitted this text and changed the liner notes.  The vinyl is VG+:  some fine paper lines and a couple scuffs but no scratches (there is a large scuff on the last track of side 2 "Surprise, Surprise" that causes surface noise but no skips).  Play tested with no skips and minimal surface noise except for the song cited.  The record still sounds really good and retains a lot of its gloss.  The  album cover is VG+: the front looks really good, just  some very light ringwear at the top and bottom.  The back cover looks really good also but there's a name written at the top of the liner notes.  The top seam is in good shape.  The spine and bottom seam have some shelf wear but no splits (see pics).  Deadwax matrix machine stamps: Side 1-XARL-6691-1K  Side 2-6692-1K.  This is an early 1965 first pressing of the 3rd studio album by The Greatest Rock n Roll Band Of All Time.  The London record sleeve is included.  Please email me with any questions and thanks for looking.
