RARE ACETATE ADVANCE TEST RECORDING - 1964

"DO I LOVE YOU"

Exceptionally rare single sided acetate/test pressing of this Ronettes classic pressed by the Decca record company.This is an aluminium acetate and not the one of the later single sided test pressings which more often turn up from Decca so must represent a very early state of the record before it was sent to the pressing plant to be pressed up in vinyl.Condition is very good for an acetate with none of the surface corrosion which often effects metal acetates.There are a number of light surface marks but it plays very well with a minimum of noise and no jumps or clicks and the sound is high quality.Hard to grade acetates but I think visually this is VG+ though it plays EX+.The type/hand written label carries an issue number HLU 9222 rather than the correct issue number HLU 9922 but I think this is an unintentional error on the part of whoever wrote the label.There is also a handwritten date "Sept.18th" and this probably refers to the projected issue date.A very rare and collectable item and a must for any Phil Spector or Girlie group collector.
