Description

Here's a set of two double-sided acetates from the archives of the late Steve Katz (of Blues Project and Blood, Sweat and Tears). The set contains five songs by a mystery band called The Rosemary, recorded at Hollywood's Gold Star Studios. This was clearly recorded in or around 1966; all five songs reflect a distinct West Coast sound from that era, similar to The Beau Brummels or The Mamas & The Papas. The songs are mostly upbeat, but moody in spots. One track, "How Many Times," even has light fuzz guitar break. All four sides of both 8" discs play at 45 rpm.
