THE RUINS OF BEVERAST is the solo project of Alexander von Meilenwald, blazingly fast, maniacally technical drummer of German horde Nagelfar, as well as being a live and/or session member of Truppensturm, Abusus, Verdunkeln and other kult acts. Born in 2003 the wake of Nagelfar’s demise, THE RUINS OF BEVERAST is an entirely new adventure in the blackened arts, and with the debut LP Unlock The Shrine - Reliquary Of The White Abyss, TROB’s incredibly unique intensity immediately opened minds around the globe. Cavernous, echoing production captures Meilenwals’s rapturous percussive blasting buildups and incredible drumming, while whirlwinds of dynamic riff sorcery and multiple clean/scathing vocal styles culminate in massively long tracks, creating one of the most distinctive and epic, atmospheric, doom-laden black metal releases ever.
