The Scaffold - 'Scaffold L the P'. PMC 7077

The Scaffold rare 1969 UK MONO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Scaffold L the P' album. Released in May 1969, this is a particulary early pressing with the very earliest possible 1 G mothers to both sides. The Scaffold have an interesting connection to the Beatles with Mike McGear being the brother of Paul McCartney.

These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant. Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in the UK....' statement and have the 'Gramophone Co.Ltd' rim print. The sleeve is particulary unusual with the rear being laminated and the front having a matt unlaminated finish. During the 1960's EMI just about always used front laminated sleeves with rear being left unlaminated so quite strange to find this one the opposite of the norm. The vinyl is housed within the original 'Made in Great Britain' patented inner sleeve.

This 1969 MONO release is particulary rare as by the end of the 60's virtually ALL albums in the UK were issued in stereo only.

Side 1. XEX 725-1 1 G

Side 2. XEX 726-1 1 G

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults, crackle can be heard in places.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Seam split to the bottom edge.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.

This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.50. EU recorded postage is: £9.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £14.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
