A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. ‘The Shadows’ original first issue UK 1961 debut LP,

2. original first issue UK 1961 laminated ‘flip back’ sleeve made from the period, thick heavy card,

3. original first issue UK 1961 Gold and Green Columbia record labels,

4. original first issue UK record matrix of, 1N/1N,

5. comes with its original ‘Emitex’ inner sleeve with an official looking ‘EMI stamp’ on one side.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the sleeve is laminated on the front. The laminate has retained an excellent glossy finish and has remained free of much ‘scuffing’, ‘creases’ and ‘indentations’. The spine is in near excellent condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has remained clean for its age. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’, ie fold over edges. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original EMI period, ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. On one side, to the top, right corner there is an original, official looking ‘EMI stamp’. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. The back opening edge has some slight ‘nicks’ to it.

THE RECORD: each side is in very good+ condition. The record is made of the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XAX 2181 – 1N and XAX 2182 – 1N,

The mother / stampers are: ‘2 MG’ and ‘2 AP’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays, overall excellent, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ and some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: each label is in excellent++ condition. The letters ‘OT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. Brian Poole and the Tremoloes, original first issue UK 1963 debut album,

2. original first issue UK 1963 laminated ‘flip back’, top and bottom sleeve,

3. original first issue UK 1963, maroon and silver, ‘Ace of clubs’ (Decca) record labels,

4. each record label has a distinctive ‘ridge’ to it,

5. original first issue UK earliest record matrix of: ‘1A and 1A’,

6. earliest known mother / stampers of: ‘1 B’ and ‘1 B’,

7. comes with its original period 1963, ‘Decca’ inner sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original period ‘Decca’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. Where the two sides meet the two top opening edges there is a 10-20mm split to each side.

THE RECORD: each side is in near excellent condition. The record is made of the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: ARL 5821 – 1A and ARL 5822 – 1A,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 B’ and ‘1 B’, the earliest you can get. The letters ‘MT’ are also engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove each side.

THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent. Each side plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there, but in general each side plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: each record label is in excellent condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
