Superb and obscure UK-only item by a South African beat combo fusing western music with traditional African instruments. Really nice to have their killer "Taboo" Britxotica instrumental on 7inch format :) Primitive r&b garage twang with a distinctive soul jazz undercurrent and huge, looped percussion break midway ;) Crude, in-your-face jungle drums on this brilliant strain of exotica with sleazy bass guitar hook / harpsichord / zither and hard piano. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. SideB is called "Ntjilo Ntjilo..." an unusual, blue-eyed pop take on tribal folk with Kalimba thumb piano and acoustic guitar motifs. Seldom comes up for sale ;) Original 4-prong centre intact
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG+ with hairlines and light scuffs / some faded old pressing residue / natural background noises (most probably due to the actual pressing and its time in storage) / disc cut loud with big production sound / original 4-prong centre intact
SLEEVE - not graded - original Columbia factory sleeve has light general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive stickers with pen notation, front and back
LABEL - a few light rub marks from storage / a touch of natural age discoloration / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
