Description

A 33 1/3 RPM stereo vinyl LP, 'The Silmarillion of Beren and Luthien' read by Christopher Tolkien

One of a number of recordings of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien from Caedmon. Recorded at Century 21 Studios, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and released in 1977

This recording is taken from 'The Silmarillion' by J.R.R. Tolkien, posthumously edited and published by his son, Christopher.

This is the story of Beren and Luthien. Read by Christopher Tolkien, the third of J.R.R. Tolkien's four children. Directed by Ward Botsford

The sleeve has a reproduction of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'Silmarillion' map on the front. On the back are notes by Christopher Tolkien, and a small b & w photo of the reader, plus production, publishing details etc.

Plain, white, paper inner sleeve

Catalogue number:- TC 1564

Condition

The vinyl  looks VG+.

Some slight marks and scratches, a few pops and some surface noise in quiet parts.

Overall plays well and the above don't detract from the listening experience.

The sleeve is VG to VG+, with some slight wear.

The inner sleeve has a couple of tears, light creasing and is discoloured through age (see photos)
