The Fourth Studio album from The Smashing Pumpkins, and follow up to the album "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness". Billy Corgan and the band chose a completely new direction with this album, having released original drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.  The album saw them taking a more gothic and electronic direction, drawn from influences such as Depeche Mode and The Cure, yet retaining the Smashing Pumpkins sound and feel, which surprised many fans, yet gained many more.
