Description
Up for auction here is a very rare UK true 1st press LP from The Smiths - 'Strangeways Here We Come' signed by Morrissey on the front cover, this is the earliest press with the green embossed text which was changed soon after. Matrix: A-2U/B-2U, this has 'Guy Fawkes was a genius' etched in the dead wax on Side 1 and TYI stamped on Side 2 in dead wax, comes with printed inner lyric sleeve.
I bought this recently from a life long fan who won this in a ITV teletext competition in 1987 so this is 100% genuine, this is a nice item which will appeal to fans/completists. The original mailer is included as proof the post-it note is there to hide the address details, this is dated 19.8.87 the album was not released until 28th September 1987.
I am open to offers, silly low ones will be declined without reply, postage set a £5 but I will send Special Delivery at my cost, buyers are also welcome to collect if required and can be viewed prior to buying by appointment only.

Returns are accepted if faulty/arrive damaged, photos are required, no partial refunds are given except in exceptional circumstances.

CONDITION - PLEASE READ & LOOK AT PHOTOS CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING!
Both sides when held up to a light literally just show a handful of minor feint sleeve like surface marks and the odd feint hairline mark, this played a handful of times only, both sides still retain their shiny black finish. The sleeve has a small seam split in the centre along top spine and there is a minor 2 inch split bottom left hand corner otherwise this is graded vg+ the reading spine is intact and fully readable.
