Description

ONE OF A KIND, RAREST COVER OF STRANGEWAYS HERE WE COME. I ACQUIRED THIS BEAUTY A FEW YEARS AGO AND NOW I'M GIVING SOMEONE ELSE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE IT'S OWNER. AS A SMITHS COLLECTOR WE KNOW THE GREEN TILED EMBOSSED SLEEVE IS THE ONE YOU WANT ON THE UK PRESS OF STRANGEWAYS HERE WE COME. THIS ONE OF A KIND VARIANT HAS A HALF GREEN HALF GREY EMBOSSED COLOURWAY. NOW TO PUT TO REST SOME MYTHS REGARDING THE COLOUR OF THE TITLE, SOME COLLECTORS SOME YEARS BACK THOUGHT IT WAS GREEN AND SOME FADED IN THE LIGHT AND BECAME GREY.. WHICH IN ITSELF IS COMPLETELY INCORRECT. BASICALLY SOME LIMITED RUNS WHERE COLOURED GREEN AND THE REST GREY. SIMPLE.. THIS PRESSING LOOKS LIKE IT WAS POTENTIALLY A PROTOTYPE OR A SAMPLE FOR THE INITIAL GREEN RUN. BUT IT'S IMPERFECTION IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AS COLLECTORS ITEMS GO. YOU'RE BIDDING FOR A ONE OF KIND COVER, THERE IS NOT ANOTHER ON THE PLANET LIKE THIS :) IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SLEEVE, IF I WAS TO KEEP IT, I'D FRAME THIS SLEEVE... SO I HOPE IT GOES TO A GOOD HOME. ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK..
