This is a RARE ORIGINAL UK 1985 THE SMITHS and U2 TEST PRESSING for the NME - NME READER'S POLL WINNERS '84, ORIGINAL UK TEST PRESSING IN AMAZING CONDITION !!!
I've been told only about 50 copies of the TEST PRESSING were made for radio plays and industry people and this copy came from a retired radio station producer !!!
The tracks are:
BRONSKI BEAT - HARD RAIN.
COCTEAU TWINS - IVO (NEW VERSION).
THE SMITHS - WHAT SHE SAID (LIVE VERSION).
U2 - WIRE (DUB MIX).
I also included in the photos and the package the regular NME SINGLE RELEASE !
The single was pressed by the NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS catalogue number NME GIV 1.
The matrix numbers are: SIDE 1: NME GIV 1 A1 and NMEXPRESSWAY TO YOUR HEART and MPO and JA, SIDE 2: NME GIV 1 B1 and MICRO GROOVY PLAY LOUD and MPO and JA.
The condition of the TEST PRESSING is in EX+++++/MINT- condition (only played once to test) + REGULAR NME RELEASE SINGLE INCLUDED IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.
