What you have here is a rare and UNIQUE / ONE OFF TEST PRESSING of THE SMITHS from 1985. AN ORIGINAL PRESSING AND A MUST !!!
This must be one of the rarest SMITHS / MORRISSEY promo items out there, and IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN !!!
This version was rushed to radio by the late great Scott Piering who was The Smiths manager in the early days and later on went to do their promotion.
As you can see from the UNIQUE SLEEVE this version was rushed to radio even before the promos were done (probably the only time this was done) due to Scott having to go and visit his ill dad in the US, the sleeve is even signed by Scott, as a result what you have here is a ONE OFF UNIQUE SMITHS PROMO ITEM that I am sure you will never see again, SO DO NOT MISS ON THIS CHANCE, I had to hide the name of the radio person from which this copy came from (but this is only a little piece of post it, that is now been taken off), the single has been stored since the day it was received and NEVER PLAYED !!!
The vinyl itself as you can see is a TEST PRESSING with hand stuck stickers including all the details, and the dead wax has RT 186 A, and RT 186 B , and then "Our souls, Our souls Our souls" etchedd on both sides.
The single came out through ROUGH TRADE Records, and was given the catalogue number of RT 186.
The tracks are: THAT JOKE ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE / MEAT IS MURDER (LIVE VERSION).
As I said , this is the only way to get this ONE OFF UNIQUE SPECIAL RADIO TEST PRESSING VERSION and THIS UNIQUE PROMO ONLY PICTURE SLEEVE,  SO DON'T LET THIS PASS YOU BY!!!
The condition of the vinyl is MINT- (UNPLAYED), P/S is in EX++ condition.
