The Sonics' sound defined proto-punk and led the way from garage to hard rock and heavy metal. This album features the explosive tracks "Cinderella", "He's Waiting", "Shot Down", and an amp-shattering cover of "Louie Louie"

It has been said that mono albums pressed at Monarch (MR) in LA play louder than other mono or stereo versions ~Thick cardboard cover~ ~Thick vinyl~ ~1st pressing~ ~Purple Etiquette labels~
CONDITION: Cover: VG+. Clear tape on bottom seam. Slight bumping to corners. Name on back. Light ringwear. Labels: Clean. Side 1 label has hardly noticeable tear on edge. Vinyl: Overall VG+. Album presents itself with numerous superficial hairline scratches that to not affect the loud and powerful sound quality. There are some pops and ticks. On louder portions, this copy of Boom plays VG++ on my turntable. The brilliant sound quality of this record makes it likely that it was one of the first 300 mono pressings from Monarch.
