Description
Up for auction is a great vinyl copy of THE SOUND's classic 1980 debut album 'Jeopardy' on KOROVA RECORDS (cat. no. KOW 58 255). The predecessor to 1981's masterpiece 'From The Lion's Mouth' already showed ADRIAN BORLAND's musical skills with songs like 'Heartland', 'Missiles', 'Resistance' or 'Unwritten Law' to name a few, that became live favourites of THE SOUND in the years to come. The German first pressing that I'm offering here today is in EXCELLENT+++ condition and very hard to find these days in this condition! This is an original 1980 KOROVA pressing and not one of those crappy counter***s that recently surfaced!
The laminated COVER is in EXCELLENT++ condition. The COVER only displays a bit of wear to the spine – nothing serious though! I'm very, very picky here! The COVER shows NO unwanted writing, NO seam splits, NO sticker marks, NO major creasing, etc. Both panels, front & back, are extremely glossy and beautiful! The COVER comes with it's original printed art INNER SLEEVE which is in EXCELLENT- condition.
Both sides of the vinyl RECORD are in NEAR MINT- condition, mirror-like and without a single mark or scuff to report of! I stick to the 'RECORD COLLECTOR' grading system (please see below).
Both matt-finished KOROVA LABELS are in NEAR MINT condition, there are NO spidermarks on either side of the spindle-hole!
Thanks for looking & good luck! Please feel free to contact me for further details! Please have a look at my other THE SOUND auctions!
The album will be mailed to the lucky winner in a stiff cardboard record box with extra cardboard stiffeners for best possible protection during transport! The experience and fun of buying records on eBay is ruined if you discover that – once the album arrives – they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I try to describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. Please see my excellent feedback especially in terms of packaging! My records are also from a smoke- and pet-free home.
