The Stalin were a punk rock band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1980 by lead singer Michiro Endo. He described choosing the name for two reasons: "The name Stalin is very hated by most people in Japan, so it is very good for our image," and, as a socialist, he felt Stalin represented "The downside to every good idea".

It stole the limelight in a simultaneous period by a punk rock hard-core scene in Japan as well as debut Jagatara and INU, etc.The word play was laced with an aggressive sound, and sarcasm was put by the twist of two and Lyrics as much as one twist. ..departure.. poetry and the attacked form was novel. Notoriety is made to roar by an extreme act of throwing out pig's head and entrails to the seat in a live hall, throwing out the firecracker and fireworks, urinating from the stage by the stark-naked, and making the guest do fellation. Nightclub "Attic" of Tokyo was destroyed, it became a prohibition of going in and out, and, in addition, it was prohibited to do live of Stalin in Kobe City. It becomes, and it has been arrested by the stark-naked a culture live festival moreover.

ORIGIN/PROVENANCE: My friend Corey Rusk, who runs Touch & Go Records (and formerly of The Necros), has been cleaning out his storage space and has realized that he really doesn't have any more room for the all doubles and triples of many of the rare records in his collection.  He's busy running Touch and Go and doesn't have the time to deal with selling his extras... but they do need to go.  So he asked me to help him sell them off. And of course, as a long time friend of Corey and and fan of Touch and Go Records (along with being a 10+ year eBay seller with a perfect feedback rating of 1900+), I jumped at the chance.
