Description

Beautiful copy of the original 1967 first pressing of the self-titled debut LP by the Stone Poneys, which of course was Linda Ronstadt’s folk-rock group before she went “solo” and became a star. This is the original pressing on Capitol ST-2666 on the rainbow labels with no mention of Linda on the front cover. Later copies repressed after she became famous had her name on the front. Anyhow this copy is just gorgeous. There are a couple of superficial marks but they don’t affect the play at all. Side two has a coupe of visible light lines but they are only on the surface and don’t make a sound. Side one is closer to pristine. There are some of those superficial spots that sometimes come over time from the acid in the paper sleeve but they are not damage or wear of any kind and don’t count as a condition issue. Really this copy plays flawlessly and just gorgeously. All the way through… not a single pop or tick or even light crackle. Just beautiful. The cover is similarly near pristine, with only the slightest signs of gentle use and age. Really a top original copy. Hard to beat.
