Description
THE SWEET – FUNNY HOW SWEET CO-CO CAN BE / RCA VICTOR SF 8238 / 1971 / STEREO / Rare original UK acetate of Sweet’s 1st lp. Item belonged to a former RCA Argentina manager. It can be clearly seen in the scan that the words Lado 1 & Lado 2 were Spanish written on both labels just to identify them. Acetate is in nice Vg++ condition, it shows some thin hairlines and light sleeve scuffs, keeps its original luster and is slightly warped, probably due to a long time inappropriate storage, however this imperfection causes no sound flaw, it plays strong with nice clean sound. I found the disc accompanied by an original UK sleeve which is open on top & bottom, I mean seams got never stuck together; probably RCA Record Division England sent this cover just like it came out from the factory simply as an informative guide. Cover is in Vg+ condition as some tape remains can still be found on bottom portion, back cover shows some writings by the track listing (time duration on the Side A tracks and some indications on the possible combination of tracks to release the Argentinean singles, one arrow and the letters A & B accompanied by the word simple (single) clearly shows this purpose, as a matter of fact these tracks were later released like Santa Monica Sunshine b/w Jeannie / RCA Victor 31A-2022. A lovely item for any Sweet’s collector!!! Bid with confidence, satisfaction is fully guaranteed…….
