Near MINT copy of this regional low press (Mobile, Al artists - New Orleans label) record - none better! Some explanation - the band was actually called 'The System' (see separate list of a follow-up and just rare 45 by the same group - where the non plural name is used) The copy here is undoubtably among those handled by the band (rather than sent out to radio or whatever) where a group member hand corrected the name, striking out the 's' - I have seen two of these before with same markings! I've never found one in better condition. In fact it may have come from a musician's collection who was in the group. A couple of remaining members still play a few nights a week in Mobile including the composer of 'How High Is High' - which BTW is a really fine Byrds type song - both sides are exceptionally good and nothing by this band (to the best of my knowledge) has been comp'ed probably due to the scarcity of copies. The suggested 'a' side was written by Tim & Carson Whitsett two very fine musicians out of Jackson, Ms. What you have here is for all purposes a mint vinyl copy - a very clean (considering is matt white) label with one tiny little mark at 4 o'clock on the more radio friendly 'a' side (because I guess 'How High' is a drug suggesting reference) - both are good 'High' is a classic!
