THE TED LEWIS STORY WITH RARE RECORDINGS! AFRTS 16" Radio Transcription Discs


Ted Lewis was not only a great Jazz musician, he was also one of the greatest entertainers that America ever produced. Here is his incredible life story as told by Ted himself through rare recordings of him. We get to the story behind his famous hat and how he got it. We also get to some of his earliest recordings, including his first recording from way back in 1917! The narrator for this show is Jazz Historian and famed record collector Andy Mansfield. This radio show was part of a AFRTS radio series called "America's Popular Music". 
These two 16" Radio Transcriptions are in Excellent condition with only minor visible scuffs or scratches. The discs sound great and play with no skips or jumps. They are still very glossy and are not warped or chipped. Each Radio Transcription disc has two 30 minute radio shows, so you get a total of 2 hours of great entertainment from the Golden Age of Radio. The 4 pictures supplied are of the 2 discs being offered.
